Registration for the YSS Spring Conference is Now Open!

Join your youth services colleagues from around the state in CLAYTON on April 19, 2024, for a day full of learning, inspiration, and connections at The Roaring 20s: Finding Your Voice in a Loud Decade.  We'll be joined by keynote speakers Lisa Fipps and Kelly Jensen, and talented youth services librarians from across the state will be talking about everything from baby raves to teen leadership.

Hotel Information

Hotel accommodations, vendors, keynotes, and some breakouts will be at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel.  Additional breakout sessions will be hosted at the Hawn Memorial Library and the Clayton Opera House, both conveniently located within two blocks of the hotel.

Travel Details

Clayton, NY is conveniently located a short drive from Route 81! From 81N, take exit 47 and turn left onto NY-12 N. Once you enter the village of Clayton, turn right onto State Street, then left on Webb Street. At Hugunin Street, you'll turn right to enter the parking lot! 
 
Plan to arrive early and stay late - Clayton is a beautiful village and we have some fun activities planned! Join us for an open house at the Hawn Memorial Library from 4-6pm before the pre-conference reception. Visit the 1000 Islands Website to see what's nearby, and look out for more details about special post-conference experiences! The Thousand Islands Art Center and Handweaving Museum will be providing a special tour of their permanent fiber collection and giving a weaving demonstration, and we are working with other museums and spaces to arrange unique activities to help you make the most of your time in Clayton!

Your ticket price includes dinner and a non-alcoholic beverage. We'll also be selling tickets to win some fabulous gift baskets! Funds raised go towards YSS-sponsored scholarships.
