The 2025 NYLA Annual Conference will be in-person at the Hilton and City Center in Saratoga Springs, New York on November 5-8.Actionable AdvocacyAdvocacy is about more than meeting with your legislators. It is about telling stories, stories that show how your library can help your patrons. Marketing is the key to telling these stories. All library staff are involved in marketing whether aware of it or not. Everyone has stories they can tell and relationships they can build, whether you are working at a circulation desk, an information desk, or meeting with the local chamber of commerce. Any interaction is an opportunity to promote the library and build relationships. All these activities are actionable advocacy. Come to our 2025 Annual Conference to strengthen existing relationships with colleagues and build new ones. The conference is a great opportunity to learn, build relationships, and take action! Conference RegistrationConference registration for this year's event will launch in late July. Registration rate information will be available along with the registration form on our website. We strongly recommend reading through the registration form thoroughly prior to submitting. All interested in attending the event must complete a registration form. Members should login to the form using their profile login information in order to receive member rates. Nonmembers can use the New User login fields to complete the form. This will create a user profile for nonmembers to have access to their form completed and their invoice. Just a reminder, members should not be using their member profile to register alternate attendees. We strongly encourage all registrants to register themselves as the form will require specific information for each registrant (special event selection, meal selection, dietary restrictions, swag selection, etc.) REGISTRATION POLICIES NYLA members are eligible for discounted member rates for NYLA events. Registrants must be active members to receive discounted rates. Registrants will not be provided member rates if their account is not active. Registrations completed with non-member pricing in error will only be changed by the registrant reaching out to the NYLA office at [email protected] prior to registration deadlines listed below. Failure to contact the NYLA office prior to the deadline will result in the registrant being liable for the non-member rate. Special discounted rates are available to NYLA members of the Retired, Trustee, Student, and Friend member types. Members must be active in these designated member tiers at the time of registration to receive special discounts. The rates provided below will be honored until the noted deadlines. Registration will close October 10, 2025. On-site registration will be available on a first come, first served basis at an increased rate. Attendees are required to submit an electronic registration form to attend the event. This registration form serves as a contractual agreement to attend said event and all monetary requirements will be the responsibility of the registering party regardless of attendance and billing entity provided (Bill Later/PO). Registrants are responsible for providing all noted billing entities’ required documentation to finalize payment for their registration. All registration payments must be received within 30 days of receipt of the registration submission. NYLA reserves the right to charge prevailing rates (i.e., Regular) for lack of payment. REFUNDS /CANCELLATIONS Written requests for refunds or cancellations must be submitted by October 10, 2025, to [email protected]. Registrations will not be “swapped” for alternate attendees. Registrants who have paid their registration fee and wish to cancel their registration can use the paid fee to cover an alternate registrant. A written request must be made to the office at [email protected] to set this up by the October 10th deadline. After the October 10, 2025, deadline has passed, no refunds will be issued. Registrants who do not attend the Conference and fail to submit a written request of cancelation will be liable for their entire conference fee. Registration form and event questions can be directed to [email protected]. Hotel AccommodationsNYLA establishes several hotel blocks for our event. Hotel accommodation information will be made available on the website at the beginning of July. Attendees are responsible for making their own hotel accommodations.
