MLRT: Municipal Libraries Roundtable

Municipal Libraries Roundtable provides its members, other New York Library Association divisions, members and partners, and the library and information science field with a forum to support municipal libraries statewide by providing networking and resource sharing, and to assist in advancing NYLA's mission.

Goals

In addition to primarily offering a networking the round table will work to meet the following goals:

1. Develop a toolkit for municipal libraries with legal citations that can be shared with interested municipalities or trustees.

2. Develop a resource that introduces new municipal librarians to the unique aspects of municipal libraries.

3. Offer guidance for libraries looking to re-charter or otherwise move away from the traditional municipal library model.
