Librarians and other library advocates join NYLA so they can share ideas and expertise with library advocates and information specialists in related fields on a one-to-one basis. NYLA gives you the opportunity to meet all levels of professionals--beginning, mid-career, and veteran, as well as Friends, trustees and supporters of libraries.
Together, we promote libraries and information issues to hundreds of New York State media from Long Island to Lake Erie.
Together, we educate librarians around the state in forums ranging from day-long programs, to conference sessions to continuing education workshops.
Together, we provide a sense of community of uniting library advocates with others who have similar interests.
